Legal Advisor
Legal Steps Law Firm
Legal advisory experience forming the foundation of my transition into UK legal and compliance opportunities.
I’m Md Mahmudul Hasan. Based in Cardiff, UK, I bring legal advisory experience and postgraduate study in international commercial law to opportunities in legal support, compliance and commercial contracts.

I’m interested in work that connects rigorous legal analysis with practical business decisions, particularly in legal support, client onboarding, corporate governance and contract review.
My background combines legal advisory work at Legal Steps Law Firm with LL.M. study at the University of South Wales. My academic interests centre on commercial law, corporate accountability and the role of human judgment in technology-assisted legal work.
I’m based in Cardiff and open to opportunities in Bristol and elsewhere in the UK. My longer-term ambition is to develop a career in commercial legal practice.

Eight practical questions across legal support, commercial contracts, AI evaluation and responsible business. Each exercise connects an evidence-based assessment with a clear next step.
A fictional corporate client presents incomplete ownership information and a possible name match. The assessment separates evidence gaps from conclusions and proposes proportionate escalation.
A fictional contract contains vague acceptance terms and a one-sided payment mechanism. The review identifies the commercial problem and offers wording for negotiation.
A short internal briefing structures a hypothetical supply chain concern around evidence, responsibility and practical follow-up.
A source-by-source review separates accurate extraction from a misleading risk conclusion, with a defined human sign-off point.
An illustrative evaluation rubric tests authority, application, completeness and uncertainty, rather than rewarding a confident writing style.
A pre-use assessment considers approval, data handling, retention and access before a client document enters an external system.
A research-linked briefing tests the gap between a policy statement and evidence of implementation, monitoring and remedy.
An illustrative clause framework connects information rights, subcontractor oversight and corrective action with practical contract management.
These examples were prepared for this portfolio with AI assistance. They use fictional scenarios, are not client work and do not constitute legal advice.
My research explores how legal obligations, information and oversight shape responsible business across borders.
My dissertation examines regulatory convergence, epistemic governance and the persistence of transnational accountability gaps. It reflects my interest in the relationship between commercial activity, human rights and effective corporate oversight.
